Description

What a cool setup for all-mountain skiers looking for a beefy ski that performs like a much more maneuverable stick. It’s kind of like that luxury sedan that performs like a sports car. For the edge grip and power that’s found underfoot, the Rossignol Experience 92 Ti skis with bindings are surprisingly agile for their weight, and that’s mostly thanks to the Air Tip. Underfoot, at 92 mm, the skis have a wider body in order to have more material on the snow. The greater the mass, the more stable the ski, so feel free to open these things up. Coming in at 2050 grams per ski in the 187, they’re not feathers, but the lighter tips and tails make for a maneuverable ski when the going gets tight. I was incredibly impressed with these skis and their ability to make quick carves on groomers and then blow through powder and crud the next run. We often talk about what the most versatile shape is for true all-mountain skiing, and you could certainly make a good argument that this is it. Wide enough for softer snow and crud, but still with the torsional stiffness to hold an edge on the firmest of snows. Rossi’s Line Control Technology comes in handy here, with a titanal beam that runs the length of the ski. This does the bulk of the heavy lifting in terms of performance, and since the LCT is borrowed from the race room, you know it works.
